Group’s new ‘Mile High School Guide’ serves as data dashboard for Denver schools

Denver-based advocacy organization RootED launched its Mile High School Guide. This online resource provides comprehensive information on all 197 public schools in Denver, including teacher-to-student ratios, test scores, attendance rates, and discipline data. RootED collaborated with Denver Public Schools (DPS) to gather the data, aiming to address the community’s need for accessible school information. Available in multiple languages, the guide’s launch coincides with DPS’ school choice window, empowering families with valuable insights for decision-making. RootED’s initiative underscores the importance of transparency and informed school choice. Additionally, RootED introduced Denver School Insights, a separate dashboard tailored for policymakers and journalists, offering district-level data broken down by neighborhood and political districts.
