Four New Charter Schools Open in Georgia This Fall

More Georgia students have access to high-quality public school options this year with the opening of four new charter schools authorized by the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia. Amana Academy West will serve students primarily from West Atlanta, South Cobb, and South Fulton communities with an emphasis on scholarship, sustainability, STEM, and global citizenship for its students.  

 

DeKalb Brilliance Academy is open to students in the Atlanta Public School District and DeKalb County using Entrepreneurial Project-based learning, where students learn not only from their teachers and peers but also directly from scientists, lawyers, engineers, and designers. Destinations Career Academy of Georgia will serve students statewide with an online curriculum. Resurgence Hall Middle Academy is a replication of the high-performing Resurgence Hall Charter School built on preparing scholars to succeed in the 21st century.
