Charter school continues to help students find their voices
Rocky Mountain Prep SMART, a Denver charter high school, has spent the past decade preparing students for college and career success. Since opening 10 years ago, 100% of its graduates have been accepted into a college or university. The school, part of the Rocky Mountain Prep network, serves 600 students, many of whom are multi-language learners.
Principal Chelsea Yondo Feller credits the school’s rigorous, supportive environment for its success. “When we start from a place of rigor and love, students and families win,” she said. The school’s two-teacher model ensures language development while maintaining strong academics.
With an average daily attendance of 90% and over $7 million in projected scholarship awards this year, RMP SMART continues to help students thrive. “My best hope for all my graduates is that they can choose the university that best fits their future dreams,” Yondo Feller said.
