Indianapolis charter school celebrates Latin American culture during Hispanic Heritage Month
Enlace Academy in Indianapolis celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a vibrant cultural event honoring Latin American traditions. The school showcased customs from countries like Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Nicaragua through music, art, and food, with local vendors offering handmade crafts and authentic cuisine. Enlace, meaning “link” in Spanish, strives to be a community hub for families, building connections that support the well-being of students and staff. Bilingual students proudly presented cultural artifacts they created, embracing the heritage of the Latino community. “This event lets our students feel seen and heard, while learning more about their culture,” said Denise Hernandez of Enlace Academy.
