“Kids can’t wait”: Cleveland Mayor Bibb’s education report finds

Arguing that the city must rapidly increase its progress in improving educational outcomes, the administration of Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb released the results of his ambitious education listening tour. With more than 250 interviews across some 30 listening sessions with families, students, and community members, the tour report stresses the need for “best-in-class” school facilities, elevating parent voice, and strengthening learning. 

Bibb has called for increased access to “high-quality” schools by supporting both high-quality public charter schools and high-quality traditional district schools. He has said that his administration intends to “double down” on this strategy as a cornerstone of its education agenda.
