New Baton Rouge charter school seeks ‘rebirth’ for teenagers in trouble with the law

Rebirth Blended Learning Academy, a new charter school in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, opens with a mission to educate adjudicated youth.“We know there are a number of kids who are mandated to be in school but they struggle in traditional environments,”Dujan Johnson, executive director of CSAL Inc said. The academy blends online and in-person learning, targeting students who need a different approach to education. Starting with 200 students, the school plans to expand its Baton Rouge operations and add locations in the New Orleans and Shreveport areas.
