St. Louis educators in Washington, D.C. to find new ways to help students achieve academic success

The Opportunity Trust, a St. Louis nonprofit focused on strengthening public schools, sent 14 Catalyst Fellows to Washington DC to learn new strategies to help students achieve academic success.  The fellows are educators from several school districts and charter schools in the bi-state area, including St. Louis, Rockwood, Riverview Gardens, and Collinsville.

The fellows visited Capital City Public Charter School and the Social Justice School, while in the Nation’s Capital.  The goal of the visits was to absorb how these innovative schools are addressing the needs of all their students.  The educators will then consider those strategies and how they might be implemented in their own schools and districts.
