The Mind Trust awards $50,000 in the fourth round of Go Farther Literacy Fund to 24 Indianapolis families, organizations, and schools

The Mind Trust, an Indianapolis-based education nonprofit, announced $50,000 in Go Farther Literacy Fund awards. These awards will support 24 projects aimed at promoting student literacy led by Indianapolis families, teachers, and community-based organizations. Notably, 18 of these awards will be distributed directly to families.

The primary goal of the Go Farther Literacy Fund is to invest in locally-driven projects that enhance student literacy skills, with a particular emphasis on projects led by parents and families. Since its inception in 2020, The Mind Trust has awarded a total of $180,000 in Go Farther Literacy Funds.

The initiative reflects The Mind Trust’s dedication to innovative ideas that drive student learning gains. By allocating the majority of funds to families who serve as crucial advocates for their children’s literacy, the initiative underscores the importance of parental involvement in education.
