Isral DeBruin is a Director of Communications for City Fund. Previously, he led strategy and communications for City Forward Collective, an education champion organization he helped launch in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Isral also served as a teacher at a Milwaukee charter school (initially by way of Teach For America) and as an award-winning education reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s NOW Newspapers. Isral has degrees from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and Marquette University. He lives in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood with his wife and daughter.
